Fog stops WWII fighter planes from participating in Back to the Bricks opening ceremony
(08/18/18) - ABC12 has just learned that due to low visibility the scheduled flyover has been canceled.
(08/18/18) - Back to the Bricks is already underway this morning, and as long as the fog doesn't interfere, people will see classic planes take to the sky.
Four World War II fighter planes were scheduled to participate in the flyover for the opening ceremony at 10 a.m.
The Screaming Rebels Squadron will do three passes and showcase three different types of formations.
The planes are T-6 North American Texans.
Frank Powers, who does promotions for the squadron, says it's all about preserving history so people do not forget the sacrifice of the men and women who served..
