Flint woman mauled by dog and hospitalized
FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - A woman is expected to be OK after being attacked by a dog in Flint.
It happened just before noon on Dupont Street near Pasadena Avenue in Flint.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says a neighbor saw it happening. He told the family that he is a legal gun owner, and received permission from the family to shoot the dog so it would let go of the woman.
After firing, the dog charged the neighbor and he shot again, killing the animal. He told ABC12 that the dog would have killed the woman if he hadn’t taken action.
The victim remained hospitalized Friday night with undisclosed injuries. She is expected to recover, however.
