Police: 14-year-old shot while walking past Saginaw store

SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) - Police in Saginaw are investigating a shooting that injured a 14-year-old.

Michigan State Police say the victim was walking past a store on Cooper Street around 6 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot. He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of a single gunshot wound to his back.

Police say the boy is expected to survive his injuries.
