PONTIAC, Mich. (WJRT) - Police found a young Oakland County girl safe after authorities in Georgia arrested her mother.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office listed the young girl as missing and endangered Tuesday after her mother allegedly kidnapped her. She was in her father’s light blue 2004 Jaguar X-Type sedan when her mother, Shanitra Seay, allegedly stole the car with the child inside.
Seay was arrested in Atlanta, Ga., on Tuesday evening and was awaiting extradition to Michigan. The girl was found safe and placed with family members in Georgia, the sheriff’s office says.
